Account Information: When you purchase THE RACK, we collect your email address and payment information through our payment processor (Shopify). We use your email to create your account and send important updates.
Breeding Data: Any data you enter into THE RACK (animals, clutches, sales, activities) is stored in a secure database managed by us. This includes animal names, genetics, dates, buyer information, and any notes you add.
Logo Images: If you upload a business logo, it is stored securely and used only for your invoices and bin tags.
2. How Your Data is Stored
Your breeding data is stored in a secure database that is owned and managed by THE RACK (Soul Serpents, LLC). This means:
- You can view all your data at any time through the app
- You can export your data to CSV or other formats
- Your data is protected from accidental deletion or corruption
- We can provide support and troubleshooting when needed
Your data is only accessible to THE RACK's owner and authorized support staff. We never browse or review your breeding records unless you specifically request help with your account. Your animals, sales, and buyer information remain private.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information solely to:
- Provide and maintain THE RACK application
- Send you important updates about the service
- Respond to support requests
- Improve the application based on usage patterns (aggregated, anonymized data only)
We never sell, rent, or share your personal information or breeding data with third parties for marketing purposes.

- Google Cloud: Secure data storage and infrastructure
- Shopify: Payment processing and order management
- SendGrid: Transactional emails (welcome emails, notifications)

5. Camera and QR Scanner
THE RACK includes a QR code scanner feature that uses your device's camera. When you use this feature:
- Camera access is requested only when you open the scanner
- All QR code processing happens locally on your device
- No images or video are captured, stored, or transmitted
- You can revoke camera permission at any time in your browser settings
6. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information:
- All data is encrypted at rest and in transit
- Our application communicates with the database through secure API connections
- Google Cloud infrastructure meets industry security certifications including SOC 2 and ISO 27001
- Access to your database is restricted to you and authorized THE RACK staff
- All connections use HTTPS encryption
- We do not store passwords - authentication is handled through secure access codes
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access: View all your data at any time through the app
- Export: Download your data in CSV format
- Deletion: Request deletion of your account and all associated data
- Correction: Update any information through the app
